Auckland War Memorial Museum extends a warm invitation to you all to join us for the Pacific Arts Association XII International Symposium 14-17 March, 2016. We look forward to hosting delegates from across the globe as we gather in Tamaki Makaurau, Aotearoa New Zealand.

The 2016 Organising Committee wants to make travelling to New Zealand (NZ) to attend the XII International Symposium as easy as possible. For that reason we have included information on Visa Requirements here. This information should answer any questions you may have with regard to problem free travel to New Zealand in March 2016.

When you arrive in New Zealand, you'll need to be carrying a passport that is valid for at least three months beyond your intended departure date. Many people will qualify for visa-free entry, but depending on your country of origin, some will need to apply for a visa before they travel.



The information supplied via the online registration process will be shared and used by The Pacific Arts Association. The Privacy Act 1993 requires that, before your name and organisation details can be published in the list of delegates either for distribution to fellow delegates or any other party, you must give your consent. Unless you advise Luana Walker, Event Manager (, your name and organisation will be included on the list of symposium delegates distributed at the symposium.

Cancellation Policy

Should you need to cancel your registration, you may reassign your registration to another person. Please notify Luana Walker, Event Manager (, in writing.  If you are unable to arrange a replacement, a full refund less an administration charge of $150.00 will be made providing notification is received by Monday 15 February 2016. After this date, refunds will be at the discretion of the organisers.

If, for reasons beyond the control of the organisers, the symposium is cancelled, then the registration fee will be refunded after deduction of expenses already incurred.
