We are pleased to provide two pre-conference workshops for you to choose to attend ahead of your PMAANZ conference. Both workshops offer the opportunity to up skill in areas vital to practice management.

Management & Leadership Workshop

Date: Thursday 8th September
Time: 2.00pm - 4.30pm
Venue: Pullman Hotel, Gallery Rooms
Cost: $180.00 per person (includes course materials and afternoon tea)

Learn how to make the transition from buddy to boss and how to run a successful team.  
Management & Leadership is a critical feature of any practice. During this workshop we are going to discuss a number of aspects of leadership and management and how they apply to you.  At the conclusion of this workshop you will be challenged to set goals to improve on your own management and leadership skills.

    The facilitator for this seminar is Gerry Hassan from Business Training NZ.  Gerry is our National Trainer and one of our most experienced facilitators. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in delivering workshops in the Health Sector.  Prior to becoming involved in training and facilitation, Gerry worked in the retail industry, where he established and managed his own retail stores.  He is a passionate and enthusiastic facilitator who is committed to making your training investment a valuable, fun, rewarding and informative experience.

    Accounting concepts and terms are confusing, and boring, to many people. And yet a basic understanding of accounting enables keeping control of expenses and planning for financial success.

    In this session Leicester Gouwland will use make sense of key accounting issues for medical practitioners including:
  • common accounting transactions
  • analysing financial statements
  • trends and ratios

  • Leicester will also answer specific accounting questions audience members have.

    Leicester is Director of Business Advisory for William Buck Christmas Gouwland, New Zealand's most healthcare-focussed chartered accounting firm. We advise healthcare clients in accounting, tax and commercial matters.
